Three people were detained by the San Jose (CA) Police Department after an eight-hour standoff came to a peaceful conclusion over the weekend.

According to CBS News, the standoff began when police responded to the call of a man with a gun on Sunday.

Officers were initially unable to make contact with the occupants of the home. SWAT officers and negotiators were called.

Eventually, one adult female and two adult males left the residence and were detained by police.

No further details have been released.
