The vehicle ended up stuck in snow and one of the occupants, a male suspect, who attempted to run was found in deep snow. Officers were attempting to bring him into custody when their dog, Oliver, was stabbed repeatedly with a knife, police say.

Severely Wounded WA K-9 Arlo Goes Home from Vet Hospital

Arlo suffered a shot to his leg and another bullet that went into his shoulder and neck. He was rushed to a local veterinarian clinic where he had surgery to be stabilized, but it was discovered that one of the bullets was still lodged in Arlo near his spine.
