CA K-9 Shot During Vehicle Stop, Suspect Taken to Hospital

A Delano, CA, Police K9 was shot multiple times during a vehicle stop following a pursuit Saturday night in McFarland, according to the Delano Police Department.

McFarland police officers opened fire against the pursuit suspect after the suspect reportedly shot at the K9. The suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment, KGET reports.

Condition of the suspect and the wounded K9, Axel, have not been released

K9 Axel and his handler were assisting McFarland officers at request of the McFarland PD.
