Officers with the Moore (OK) Police Department used an electronic control device (ECD) to end a potentially deadly confrontation with a man armed with a sword.

Officers with the Moore (OK) Police Department used an electronic control device (ECD) to end a potentially deadly confrontation with a man armed with a sword.

According to KOKH-TV News, two officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a man with a "samurai" sword advancing toward them.

In a body-worn camera video the officers can be heard saying "Put it down, man. Put it down."

The man could be heard saying in reply, "Shoot me, dude."

The subject—whose name has not been released—was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Neither of the officers involved were injured.
