An off-duty officer with the San Francisco Police Department shot and wounded a man in the suburban town of El Cerrito on Sunday night.

An off-duty officer with the San Francisco Police Department shot and wounded a man in the suburban town of El Cerrito on Sunday night.

According to Fox News, the man—whose name has not been released—was armed with an undisclosed weapon and behaving erratically when the officer intervened.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office and the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.
