A deputy with the Orange County (CA) Sheriff's Department who collapsed during a SWAT tryout in 2013 and never regained consciousness has died.
According to KTLA-TV, Carlos Cammon died at a rehabilitation facility on Friday night.

A deputy with the Orange County (CA) Sheriff's Department who collapsed during a SWAT tryout in 2013 and never regained consciousness has died.
According to KTLA-TV, Carlos Cammon died at a rehabilitation facility on Friday night.
Sheriff Don Barnes said on Twitter, "I'm saddened to announce the passing of OCSD Deputy Carlos Cammon. Deputy Cammon died last night after succumbing to injuries suffered during a SWAT tryout in 2013."
Deputy Cammon was 29 years old and a six-year veteran of the department when the incident occurred.
Barnes added, "Our Department family joins the Cammon family in grieving the loss of this brave young man."
In 2010, Cammon received the Medal of Courage after he and three other off-duty deputies subdued a man with a knife assaulting a woman at a restaurant in Orange.
