A 5-year-old boy who has suffered immense loss in the past year has been given a day of pure joy by police officers with the Roseville (CA) Police Department.

Little Jack Stieb lost his grandmother to cancer and his aunt to cerebral palsy earlier this year, and then lost his home to wildfires that consumed the town of Paradise.

According to KCRA-TV, the boy aspires to become a police officer, and was saddened by the loss of his SWAT outfit in the fire.

Officers learned about the boy's hardship and decided to deliver to him a miniature patrol car, and show him around the department for a day.
