Protesters on Monday stormed the site where two NYPD officers were slain Saturday and confronted cops pouring in to mourn their fallen brothers at a makeshift memorial, according to a CNN reporter.

Sara Ganim, who was reporting for the cable news channel at the scene, noted that things had been mostly calm and respectful. However, as she reported from the scene, commotion could be heard in the background, The Blaze reports.

“I do, just in full disclosure, want to say that in the last couple of minutes, for the first time today, we’ve seen protesters come out here and start yelling at groups of police who are mourning their slain police officers,” she said, according to a rush transcript from CNN.
