Imprisoned Convicted Cop Killer Dies at Age 71 in New York

Convicted cop killer Joseph Comfort has died in the Mohawk Correctional Facility at the age of 71, according to WETM-TV .

Comfort had been sentenced to life in prison after fatally shooting Trooper Robert Van Hall in 1980.

Comfort's brother Larry was also involved in the deadly incident, but his conviction was overturned.
