An Edmonton man is facing charges after being caught pointing a laser at a helicopter operated by the Edmonton Police Service.

An Edmonton, Alberta, man is facing charges after being caught pointing a laser at a helicopter operated by the Edmonton Police Service.

According to CBC News, a 41-year-old man—whose name has not been released—pointed a laser at the police helicopter several times. The crew aboard was able to locate the source and officers on the ground found and arrested the offender.

The man was charged with assault with a weapon, mischief, and breach of probation.
