Corpus Christi, TX, police are searching for a man who is suspected of shooting an officer Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were responding to a disturbance when one of the subjects shot at the officers, striking one of them multiple times. The officer suffered severe injuries, the department said.
The department identified the wounded officer as Senior Officer Manuel Dominguez. Dominguez is being treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition, Caller.com reports.
The suspect, 20-year-old Joshua Powell is the subject of a statewide Blue Alert issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
