In a pun-filled social media post the Freyburg (ME) Police Department poked some fun at the unofficial holiday celebrating the consumption of marijuana and marijuana-based "edible" products.

According to the Sun Journal, the Freyburg PD posted on Monday on its Facebook page a pun-filled admonition for citizens to take care of themselves and others on the annual 4/20 "holiday."

The post read, "Sorry to be so blunt but weed be lying if we said we didn’t know what today is."

The post continued, "Doobie careful with your decisions in how you celebrate the day."

The post concluded, "We wouldn't want them to hit a pot-hole, go smokin' off the road and mess up the grass in front of Mary Jane's house."
