Kentucky Police Fatally Shoot Armed Man at Domestic Call

An officer with the Nicholasville (KY) Police Department reportedly shot and killed an armed man at a domestic disturbance call Wednesday night.

An officer with the Nicholasville (KY) Police Department reportedly shot and killed an armed man at a domestic disturbance call Wednesday night.

The Kentucky State Police said on Facebook that it is conducting an investigation into the officer-involved shooting that occurred shortly before midnight .

The agency stated, "The initial investigation indicates that the Nicholasville Police Department responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Beauford Place, and was confronted by an armed individual. As a result of the encounter, shots were fired, and the suspect sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Jessamine County Coroner.

Jessamine County Coroner Michael Hughes identified the gunman as 27-year-old James Crowe.
