According to CBS News, the stars worn by Officers Samuel Jimenez, Conrad Gary, and Eduardo Marmolejo will now be enshrined in the superintendent’s honored star case at police headquarters.

Officer Samuel Jimenez was shot and killed after responding to a domestic disturbance in November 2018.

Officer Conrad Gary and Police Officer Eduardo Marmolejo were struck and killed by a South Shore Line commuter train while investigating a shots-fired call in December 2018.
