Two women and a man are dead and a deputy with the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office was injured in at least two separate incidents on Thursday Night.
One woman was found dead in a home and following a pursuit two a man and woman were found dead beside a road several miles from that scene.
Hubbard County Sheriff's Office said in a statement on Facebook, "Hubbard County deputies located the suspect’s vehicle south of Nevis and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit lasted approximately 20 minutes. During the pursuit, the suspect fired at the pursuing vehicles, striking one of the deputies."
The injured deputy was transported to a nearby hospital and then another medical facility in Fargo, North Dakota, where he was treated for a non-life threatening shooting injury and released.
The decedents were identified as 40-year-old Heidi Eve Pierce, 37-year-old Candi Cheryl Goochey, and 34-year-old Bryce Anthony Bellomo.
Pierce and Goochey were murdered. Bellomo died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to KARE-TV, the dwelling in which the initial incident took place also houses a daycare facility, but no children were reported injured.
