Texas Officer Dies from Wounds Suffered in Domestic Response Shooting

The man who reportedly shot and killed Officer Kyle Hicks was identified Tuesday by the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s officer as 26-year-old Colton Foster. He was fatally shot by officers responding with Hicks.

A Corpus Christi, Texas, police officer died Wednesday from wounds he suffered over the weekend while responding to a domestic call.

Officer Kyle Hicks was mortally wounded around 12:30 a.m. Saturday while responding to a domestic disturbance and shots fired call.

The man who reportedly shot and killed Hicks was identified Tuesday by the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s officer as 26-year-old Colton Foster. He was fatally shot by officers responding with Hicks, the Caller Times reports.

Hicks is survived by his wife and four children. He worked with the Corpus Christi police for two years.

The department asks for privacy for his family and said that in his last act of service, Hicks' organs will be donated.
