Stater Bros. Donates $7,500 to San Bernardino PD for Purchasing and Training New Police Dog

Southern California grocery chain Stater Bros. Markets has donated $5,000 to the San Bernardino Police Department for the purchase of a police dog. In addition, the company will provide $2,500 for training the dog.

Southern California grocery chain Stater Bros. Markets has donated $5,000 to the San Bernardino Police Department for the purchase of a police dog. In addition, the company will provide $2,500 for training the dog.

The donation was made possible through the company's partnership with Del Monte Pet Products and Milk-Bone.

San Bernardino PD received the donation at a ceremony at the new Stater Bros. Corporate headquarters in San Bernardino.

As part of the Milk-Bone Canine Heroes Program, the Milk-Bone nationwide police dog donation program helps law enforcement agencies add to or maintain canine units at no cost to tax-paying citizens. The program has sponsored more than 700 police and service dogs since 1997.
