This week at Police Fleet Expo, Ford Pro gave law enforcement customers a first look at the 2028 Ford Expedition Police Responder, a full-size, pursuit-rated utility vehicle featuring purpose-built police content. It is built for pursuit and designed for duty.

Expedition Police Responder comes standard with 4x4 and a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 producing 400 horsepower and 480 lb.-ft. of torque.

Standard equipment includes a 10-speed automatic transmission, a 3.73 final-drive ratio with an electronic-locking rear differential, heavy-duty braking, a column-mounted shifter, and 18-inch all-black steel wheels fitted with Goodyear Eagle Enforcer all-season tires.

Purpose-built police content includes Police Dark Car, Police Engine Idle, and Police Perimeter Alert, along with police-grade heavy-duty cloth front seats with reduced side bolsters and rear anti-stab plates.

The two-row, five-seat vehicle also includes a 360-degree camera and a Power Split Liftgate with Police Accessory Independent Timed-Release Output (PAITRO).
