Granite Tactical Vehicles Will Offer ROCK To LE

After more than six years of service in Iraq and Afghanistan, the ROCK is ready to meet the increasing needs of American law enforcement facing threats at U.S. borders.

Granite Tactical Vehicles will bring its "ROCK" light-armored vehicle to the U.S. law enforcement market, the company has announced.

After more than six years of service in Iraq and Afghanistan, the ROCK is ready to meet the increasing needs of American law enforcement facing threats at U.S. borders. These current threats to homeland security have created high interest in the ROCK's abilities and performance, according to the company.

With the current drawdown of U.S. military forces in Iraq, and the Obama administration's plan to double the number of private contractors, interest in the ROCK armored vehicle has grown, the company announced.

Granite Tactical Vehicles produced the ROCK in both the U.S. and Kuwait through late 2008, when all operations were relocated to the company's current facility in Mount Airy, N.C.
