A 10-foot alligator ran afoul with the law in Florida, after attaching its jaws to the front bumper of an Alachua County Sheriff's deputy's Crown Victoria.
Deputy Victor Borrero was waiting for a trapper after getting a report of a nuisance alligator at the south end of a golf course near Paynes Prairie Preserve State at about 7 p.m. Saturday.
After the gator affixed its jaws to the front bumper, the deputy reversed the vehicle to loosen the animal's grip.
"They were trying to get him to back away from a residential area," Sgt. Todd Kelly tells POLICE. "He got close enough to latch on and wouldn't let go."
