A San Antonio Police officer who had been hospitalized since a Dec. 10 car crash died Saturday evening.
Officer Edrees Mukhtar, 28, had been with the department for 18 months, police said.
Mukhtar was responding to a routine call just before 3 a.m. Dec. 10 when his patrol car hit a wet spot in the 3700 block of Medical Drive. He lost control, struck a curb and went into a side skid before colliding with a pickup, police say.
