Houston Officer Dies After Collapsing at Station
According to the Houston Police Department, another officer found Officer Seldon O'Brien unresponsive in a second-story bathroom at the Midwest Station around 1:45pm Wednesday. The officer immediately began CPR on O'Brien until paramedics arrived and took him Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. O'Brien was pronounced dead there.

Albuquerque Officer Dies of "Medical Event" in Training
Police officials say officers were gathered for a role-play training when one of them suffered a catastrophic medical event. Officers began performing CPR, police say, and a medical director from the Albuquerque Fire Department also guided additional emergency procedures. The officer was transported to UNMH and police say he succumbed to the medical episode.
