Morphix Technologies' Chameleon, a field-configurable chemical detection unit, provides a low-cost, easy-to-use, hands-free solution for first responders. Each disposable cassette detects a different toxic gas, enabling the user to configure the reusable Chameleon armband for the needs of his or her specific mission on a daily basis. The Chameleon, unlike other colorimetric detection, is designed for use in a wide variety of operating environments and can even be immersed in water. The sensors change color when the toxic gas is present and require no power or calibration.
