Mass Shooting Suspect Wearing Armor and Using Police Scanner Kills 5 in Philadelphia

A man accused of opening fire on a Philadelphia street and shooting seven people Monday was arrested by officer near the scene of the attack.

Kimbrady Carriker, 40, is accused of killing five adults and wounding two children  was reportedly wearing body armor, carrying an AR variant rifle, and using a police scanner, ABC6 reports.

Arriving officers found gunshot victims at the scene. As officers began to put the victims in their patrol cars to take them to the hospital, they heard more gunfire and ran towards the sound.

Police say a second person was taken into custody for allegedly picking up a gun and firing shots at the mass shooting suspect.
