On March 26, Officer Cliff Thompson made a split-second decision to crash his patrol car into a vehicle driven by Sandra Sharpe, 59, of Nashville, who was traveling south in a northbound lane on I-65 near Moores Lane, according to a Brentwood Police Department news release.

On March 26, Officer Cliff Thompson made a split-second decision to crash his patrol car into a vehicle driven by Sandra Sharpe, 59, of Nashville, who was traveling south in a northbound lane on I-65 near Moores Lane, according to a Brentwood Police Department news release.
Thompson and Sharpe were taken to Williamson Medical Center with minor injuries. Thompson was treated and released, police told the Tennessean .
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and will make the decision on whether charges will be filed against the driver.
