Iowa Officer Killed in Motorcycle Crash

Officer Shawn Miller had just left the Dallas County Courthouse where he was testifying in a hit-and-run case when he was killed in a motorcycle crash.

A West Des Moines (IA) Police Department officer was killed Wednesday in a motorcycle crash, reports KETV.

Officer Shawn Miller had just left the Dallas County Courthouse where he was testifying in a hit-and-run case.

Troopers said a car turned in front of the officer's personal motorcycle.

Miller leaves behind a wife and three children.

He was an officer for 29 years, and a 21-year veteran of West Des Moines PD.
