Corporal Les Munn of the Texarkana (AR) Police Department is not one to shy away from a challenge. So when a high school student lugging her drums up the bleachers laid down the gauntlet that the officer help the band perform, he accepted the dare.

"I was nervous—it had been a long time since I'd played, so I didn't want to let them down," Munn told Inside Edition.

"I think I've seen more big eyes and big smiles than I've seen from a lot of people in a long time," Munn said. "It was a lot of fun to do. The kids got a kick out of it because they're not used to seeing someone in uniform come up there being that light. So it kind of took the uniform off for a second and let everybody know, hey, we're just people too."

Munn has already been asked to perform with the band again next season.
