California Police Seize 6,000 Fentanyl Pills at Traffic Stop

Officers with the Long Beach (CA) Police Department conducting a traffic stop over the weekend discovered and seized 6,000 Fentanyl pills.

The agency posted an image of the haul on its Facebook page with the caption, "A traffic stop ended w/ the seizure of approx. 6,000 pills of fentanyl & the driver arrested. Fentanyl is incredibly dangerous & even a small amount can be lethal. It can be mistaken for other drugs & it is hard to know how the pills are made."

The post garnered more than 100 comments of support for the agency.

One citizen said, "What a shame that the more you find, the more is to be found. Thank you for your great efforts and successes, LBPD!"

Another citizen said, "Wow! Thank goodness this person was caught. I can only imagine the damage that amount of Fentanyl could have caused!"
