The annual conference hosted by the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) that had been scheduled to take place later this month has been postponed until early August, due to concerns over the rapidly evolving outbreak of COVID-19.

Executive Director Harvey Hedden sent a message to ILEETA members, exhibitors, and registered attendees on Friday announcing the plan to move the event several months forward as the host city of St. Louis, MO, has issued a public health emergency prohibiting large gatherings.

The 2020 ILEETA Conference will be now held at the Union Station Hotel August 2-7, 2020.

Heddon said in his message, "I am sorry that conditions changed so rapidly that we had to take this action."

Heddon's note concluded, "Thank you all for your patience and understanding. COVID19 will impose economic impacts on all of us and certainly make increased demands of those you train. I wish you continued success in those efforts and I hope to see you in August when at least the weather will be better. Watch your e-bulletins for more information."
