An officer with the Bartlesville (OK) Police Department was given a potentially life-saving dose of Narcan after he fell to the floor during processing of evidence that included an amount of fentanyl late last week.
According to Fox News, the officer—whose name has not been released—was reportedly booking into evidence a number of illegal narcotics found during a traffic stop when he became unresponsive on Friday.
Sergeant Jim Warring told the news station, "He had become ill, lightheaded, basically passed out and fell over."
Warring added, "That was the first time we've had to use Narcan on one of our own."
