Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of an officer with the Hot Springs (AR) Police Department on Tuesday evening.

Officer Brent Scrimshire was shot and killed at a traffic stop. Two suspects have been arrested and charged.

According to CBS News , the suspects—identified as Kayvon Ward and Coriama Hernandez—were both present at the scene of a traffic stop when Officer Brent Scrimshire was reportedly shot by Ward during an armed confrontation.
Officer Scrimshire was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died later due to his injuries.
Ward has been charged with capital murder and Coriama Hernandez has been charged with being an accomplice to murder. The state is seeking the death penalty for both suspects.
