Flashlight manufacturer Streamlight has reaffirmed its commitment to the law enforcement community beginning with its 2006 contribution to Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) during National Police Week. Held May 12-16 this year in Washington, D.C., National Police Week honors fallen officers and their families.

“Our relationship with the law enforcement community runs deep at Streamlight,” says Streamlight President Brad Penney. “It’s important that we give back to the professionals who put their trust in our products in the line of duty, and our contributions to COPS and National Police Week reflect our gratitude for their work protecting all of our families against crime.”

Streamlight is once again sponsoring the COPS shuttle service, which gives attendees staying at other area hotels free transportation to and from the Hilton Alexandria, site of the COPS events. According to Penney, the shuttle is very popular with National Police Week participants. Streamlight is also a sponsor of the COPS Police Week Luncheon on May 13.

In addition to its sponsorships during National Police Week, Streamlight provides sponsorship to a number of other COPS programs throughout the year, including COPS Colorado Outward Bound and Kids Camp programs, as well as hands-on programs including the COPS Siblings Retreat, Surviving Spouses Getaway, Parents Retreat, Adult Children Retreat, and the In-Laws Retreat.
