The Ann Arbor, Mich., Police Department is purchasing two electric Ford Mustang vehicles for its patrol fleet, consistent with its green fleet policy. The Mach-E AWD vehicles cost $47,000 each, according to city council documents.
The all-electric vehicles are new to the market, and the city does not expect to receive the vehicles until the fall, according to a city memo. The AWD models will address winter weather concerns, and the vehicle is rated at 210 miles per charge. The Mustang Mach-E AWD is a crossover vehicle with much more cargo space than a Mustang coupe.
