The Los Angeles Police Department's Air Support Division has launched an online store to offer air-support memorabilia. All proceeds from merchandise sold on the site go to the Air Support Angel's Foundation, which is a certified non-profit organization.

The LAPD Air Support Division is the largest municipal airborne law enforcement organization in the U.S. and operates from the LAPD Hooper Heliport. The helicopter crews assist with thousands of arrests, pursuits and crimes in progress each year. The LAPD's airborne law enforcement program began with one helicopter in 1956. Today, the Air Support Division is the largest municipal airborne law enforcement operation in the world with flights logging more than 18,000 hours a year.

The online store was created to meet the demands of a community who wants to purchase helicopter merchandise from the unit. There is no minimum order size and products are shipped within two business days, according to Adam Greenburg of the foundation.

The Angel's Foundation helps provide continuing education to LAPD helicopter pilots and observers. It purchases supplies and equipment for the unit that are not funded by the city.
