The Iraqi Police Force has received 300 new Ford Police Interceptors equipped with WatchGuard Video's in-car dash-cam systems, according to the company.
WatchGuard trainers spent three days training Iraqi officers on the use of the WatchGuard DV-1 direct-to-DVD system.
The DV-1 has been a longtime standard for agencies preferring a non-server-based video system, and is currently in use by the Texas Department of Public Safety, California Highway Patrol and thousands of other state and local agencies, according to the company.
"We feel incredibly honored to have been chosen to play a support role in building up the Iraqi Police infrastructure," said Robert Vanman, WatchGuard's CEO. "Our team at WatchGuard works hard to ensure every deployment is a success, and training is central to that. Our deployment in Iraq was no different."
WatchGuard also offers a server-free option for its newer 4RE High Definition in-car video system with the recent release of Evidence Library Express.
