IACP 2013: Digital Ally Connects In-Car and On-Body Video
A key feature of VuLink is that it triggers the FirstVu HD camera at the same time that it triggers the in-car system. This means the officer doesn’t have to remember to activate the on-body cam.

The DVM-800 is a full-featured Digital Ally in-car video system that lists for less than $4,000.

Digital Ally's VuLink connects the company's in-car video systems with its FirstVu HD on-body cameras, making them trigger at the same time.
One of the most interesting new video products at this year’s IACP was Digital Ally’s new VuLink.
VuLink is a hardware device that connects Digital Ally’s in-car video systems with the company’s FirstVu HD body cams. The idea is to ensure that the body cam captures the same incident as the in-car cameras, giving agency’s multiple angles of evidence.
A key feature of VuLink is that it triggers the FirstVu HD camera at the same time that it triggers the in-car system. This means the officer doesn’t have to remember to activate the on-body cam.
On the back end, recordings from both Digital Ally’s in-car systems and the FirstVu HD can be maintained as evidence of the same incident on Digital Ally’s VuVault management and reporting software.
VuLink is ideal for use with Digital Ally’s new DVM-800 in-car system.
Priced at less than $4,000, the DVM-800 features:
• four cameras and a 2.4GHz wireless mic
• wireless download plus a 32GB solid state memory
• Dual camera simultaneous recording
• Secure redundant continuous loop and individual incident recording
• 720 pixel resolution
• GPS with interactive back office monitoring
