Pimloc, a provider of AI-powered video privacy and redaction software, announced a partnership with Dynamic Workflow Solutions (DWS) to deliver a joint solution for public safety agencies that combines data management and automated redaction of personally identifiable information (PII) from video, audio, and documents.

Police departments and government agencies are handling more data than ever, Pimloc said. Body-worn cameras, CCTV, mobile footage, and social media content are now routine parts of investigations.

Much of this data arrives in proprietary formats, often requiring time-consuming processing before it can be reviewed and manual redaction before it can be shared.

At the same time, requests for access, including FOIA and legal requests, are increasing, putting additional pressure on teams to respond quickly and accurately.

This partnership brings together DWS’s Data-Central Evidence Engine and Pimloc’s Secure Redact software to address both challenges in a single workflow.

“Digital evidence has scaled faster than the workflows around it,” said Simon Randall, CEO of Pimloc. “Teams are now dealing with hours of footage from multiple sources, and when a FOIA request comes in, that material has to be reviewed and redacted before it can be shared. In many cases, that still means hours of manual work.”

“That’s where backlogs build, and where risk starts to increase,” he added. “We’re thrilled to partner with Dynamic Workflow Solutions to connect redaction directly into how that evidence is ingested and managed, helping public safety agencies handle FOIA requests faster, easier, and with confidence.”

DWS rapidly rewraps thousands of proprietary video files into standard MP4 formats, eliminating the delays and overhead associated with traditional transcoding. Once standardized, these files can be sent to Secure.

Single-Click Redactions

Redact with a single click, streamlining the path to privacy compliance. DWS Data Central Evidence Engine seamlessly ingests video, audio, images, and documents from multiple sources, prepares them for AI-driven processing, and integrates directly with Pimloc’s Secure Redact platform to detect and redact sensitive information such as faces, license plates, and other identifiers.

The fully processed and redacted files are then returned to Data Central for secure storage, review, and efficient sharing.

Trauma-Informed Investigations for Officer-Involved Shootings and Critical Incidents

The result is a more consistent and efficient process for preparing evidence for internal use, district attorneys, court proceedings, and public release.

The combined solution supports a range of media, including body-worn camera footage, CCTV and surveillance video, in-car video systems, and smartphone and social media footage.

“Demand for automated redaction has increased significantly across our customer base,” said Dave Glover, CEO of DWS. “Many agencies are still relying on manual processes, or tools that require extensive user manipulation to get evidence to a point where it can be shared. At the same time, they’re under pressure to meet disclosure turnaround requirements, with no margin for error. Secure Redact gives agencies a way to respond faster without cutting corners, so redaction backlogs don’t become liabilities.”

Redaction Solution Now Available

The joint solution is available globally and is designed to support police departments, investigators, records teams, IT teams, and legal offices responsible for managing and disclosing digital evidence
