Bell Helicopter , through its Aeronautical Accessories brand, has introduced an HF antenna for the Bell 407, after receiving approval from the Federal Aviation Administration.
Bell received a supplemental type certificate (STC), allowing a modification to the Bell 407.
The HF antenna is designed to interface with many types of HF radios to increase reception in remote areas. Built in a "towel bar" style, the HF antenna runs the full length of the underside of the tailboom.
