The Forsyth County (Ga.) Sheriff Department plans to replace its current fleet of 175 patrol vehicles with Chevrolet Caprice PPV patrol vehicles, according to a news release from General Motors. The sheriff's department tested a number of 2011-MY vehicles in May and made the decision to make the purchase after the test.
"With its emphasis on the ergonomically designed seats for officer comfort, and enhanced safety features, the Caprice is a vehicle that is made for police work," said Sheriff Ted Paxton. "We've had our vehicles for a month, and we're sold. This will be a worthwhile investment."
