Carbon Motors has received 14,000 reservations for its purpose-built E7 patrol vehicle, the company announced in its e-newsletter.
The reservations only represent interest in the vehicle, which is still uin the early stages of production.
Carbon Motors announced in its "Carbon Chronicle" newsletter that the reservations "were made by over 400 law enforcement agencies in 48 U.S. states, representing each functional area of law enforcement."

Carbon Motors has received 14,000 reservations for its purpose-built E7 patrol vehicle, the company announced in its e-newsletter.
The reservations only represent interest in the vehicle, which is still uin the early stages of production.
The company is still waiting for approval of a $310 million federal loan to subsidize production and hasn't released pricing details. However, Carbon Motors has begun configuring a headquarters/factory in Connersville, Ind., with $100 million in private financing.
Carbon Motors announced in its "Carbon Chronicle" newsletter that the reservations "were made by over 400 law enforcement agencies in 48 U.S. states, representing each functional area of law enforcement. At this rate, Carbon Motors fully expects to have production sold out well in advance of the first vehicle rolling out of the Carbon Campus in Connersville."
The vehicle is expected to be produced for the 2012 model year.
