3 Deputies Die in New Mexico Helicopter Crash

Three Bernalillo County (NM) Sheriff’s deputies and a Bernalillo County firefighter died Saturday in a helicopter crash near Las Vegas, NM. The crash occurred as the helicopter was being used in the fight against a wildfire.
The fallen public safety officers have been identified as: Undersheriff Larry Koren, Lieutenant Fred Beers, Deputy Michael Levison, and Fire Rescue, Rescue Specialist Matthew King, KRQE reports.
