When a gunfight begins you need to end it, period. But many of you have been taught that your first need is to find cover. Which may be teaching you to run away from a fight instead of doing your duty, which is to "run toward the gunfire."

FNH USA SCAR 17S Patrol Rifle

Which brings me back to the caliber debate and leads us into this discussion of the FNH USA SCAR 17S, a .308 caliber patrol rifle. There are agencies and jurisdictions where the extra range and penetration of the .308 rifle is a necessity.

Searching for an Effective Small Caliber Sniper Round

This is about an alternative to a .308 for those snipers who will likely never even see a 100-yard deployment and do not need the overpenetration or down range effect. I believe the 6.8 SPC is that alternative.

DoubleStar 1911 Pistol
