A suspect who was connected to a kidnapping in Philadelphia was shot and killed by FBI agents in northern New Jersey on Wednesday morning.
The victim was rescued and reportedly was not harmed.
ABC Philadelphia reports FBI agents who were investigating that kidnapping tracked the suspects to an apartment complex in Leonia, NJ. The agents were serving a search warrant at 6 a.m. when one of the suspects was fatally shot.
The identity of the suspect and the victim have not been released.
Agents from the FBI field offices in Newark and Philadelphia and officers from the Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit were involved in the investigation.
