New Hampshire Governor Introduces Proposal on Police Reforms

The governor of New Hampshire issued an executive order Wednesday to implement multiple reforms in police operations and training including the use of body cameras for state police troopers as well as recruitment of minorities into police ranks.

The governor of New Hampshire issued an executive order Wednesday to implement multiple reforms in police operations and training including the use of body cameras for state police troopers as well as recruitment of minorities into police ranks.

According to the Union-Leader, Governor Chris Sununu said in a statement released to the press, "These recommendations represent the most transformative changes New Hampshire has ever made to our law enforcement system."

The order calls for state officials to train recruits on implicit bias, ethics, and de-escalation, as well as other areas of focus.
