Memorial to 2 Fallen Massachusetts Officers Vandalized

The memorial in honor of Officers Michael Schiavina and Alain Beauregard was sprayed in red with the acronyms ACAB and FTP.

A memorial to two fallen police officers in Springfield (MA) was recently vandalized with spray paint.

According to MassLive.com, the memorial in honor of Officers Michael Schiavina and Alain Beauregard was sprayed in red with the acronyms ACAB and FTP. ACAB stands for All Cops are Bastards and FTP stands for F#ck the Police.

The graffiti was discovered by retired police Sergeant John Delaney who visits the memorial regularly.

Schiavina and Beauregard were shot and mortally wounded by an 18-year during a routine traffic stop in November of 1985.

The memorial lies within Beauregard Schiavina Park which also has soccer fields, a playground, a walkway and other amenities for members of the community.
