California Deputy Shot, Seriously Wounded

The deputy was airlifted to a trauma center and is reportedly in serious but stable condition.

A San Luis Obispo (CA) Sheriff's deputy was shot and seriously wounded minutes after an unknown gunman fired shots at the Paso Robles Police Department headquarters early Wednesday.

The deputy was airlifted to a trauma center and is reportedly in serious but stable condition, KSBY reports.

The San Luis Obispo County SO also says a body found near the Amtrak station in Paso Robles Wednesday morning is believed to be related to the shooting of the deputy.

There were reports that the body at the train station was the gunman who attacked the officer. It's now believed that man was killed by the gunman.

A manhunt is under way.
