An officer with the Buffalo Police Department who passed in 2016 away after battling Multiple Sclerosis had one final wish—to get a portrait of the rock-and-roll legend Sting to the singer.

According to NBC News, Officer Domingo Santiago loved his work as a police officer, loved his family, and loved to create paintings in his spare time.

His last painting before falling ill was the portrait of Sting, and he told his daughter that he'd like for it to be given to the singer.

That wish has come true, with Sting receiving the artwork in recent days.

A social media group called Humans of New York posted a picture on Facebook of the musician beside his portrait and raising a glass to Officer Santiago.
