Missouri Officer Struck by Vehicle, Two Subjects Face Charges

Deputies with the Callaway County (MO) Sheriff's Office arrested and charged two people in connection with an incident that left an officer with the Fulton (MO) Police Department injured after the vehicle the suspects were in struck the officer.

Deputies with the Callaway County (MO) Sheriff's Office arrested and charged two people in connection with an incident that left an officer with the Fulton (MO) Police Department injured after the vehicle the suspects were in struck the officer.

According to KOMU-TV, the subjects—identified as 31-year-old Drew Pierce and 31-year-old Ronnie Lloyd—reportedly were arrested after a 13-hour manhunt after the vehicle they occupied struck and injured an officer during a vehicle pursuit on Monday night.

Pierce is charged with assault, burglary, resisting arrest and tampering with a motor vehicle. Pierce is also being held for a State of Nebraska fugitive warrant for a felony weapon's offense. 

Lloyd is charged with resisting arrest and burglary.

The officer hit by the vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital and subsequently released. 

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
