An officer with the North County Police Cooperative in Missouri is recovering after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday night.

According to Fox News, the driver of the vehicle that struck Sgt. Lynn Woodward has been identified and located, as well as a co-defendant in the case.

The men—identified as 22-year-old Dennis Vehlewald and 25-year-old Corey Clasen—were reportedly in a stolen vehicle when the incident occurred.

Members of the community rushed to aid the officer, who was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
