A K-9 and his handler retired simultaneously from the Vineland (NJ) Police Department on Sunday.

According to the Daily Journal, Sergeant William Bontcue had served the department for 25 years, joining the ranks in 1994. His K-9 partner Yoshi joined the agency in 2012.

During his tenure, Sergeant Bontcue helped raise the profile of the K-9 unit through community engagement.
